Such a regime has no place in today's world, and maybe this pandemic will kickstart their downfall. And that wouldn't bother me at all. I'd be happy to see the Chinese people freed from that bullshite.

But counterproductive to that end is drumming up racial hatred by labeling the pandemic after them. Doing so just gives that regime more fuel to keep going. It's just bulletin board material for them to feed their enslaved people, convincing them that the world is against them and they need their protection.

Yea, fat chance. Nice Whiggish view of history while we're at it. "No place in today's world" - they seem to be doing pretty damn well in today's world. I bet you like to use "the wrong side of history" in casual conversation.

Wuhan is a race? Chinese is a race? For starters, be more accurate in your terminology.

You know what adds fuel to the fire? Ignoring fricking problems until they're right at your doorstep. Be accurate and concise in your terminology. This started because aspects of - and large territories within - Chinese society are semi-barbaric even after forty years of rapid development, and the Chinese government helped cover it up, and most of the country is perfectly fine with their regime. Don't shy away from it.
