Also full of the descendants of Lebanese Catholics who left the country in the late 19th/early 20th century. Several of the notable families in Lafayette. Saloom, Boustany, and Abdalla to name a few.

It is likely that a large percentage of these Catholic Lebanese are actually Syrian who first went to Lebanon and then came over.
