Went to Blue Giant last night, and it was amazing. Had an 1:45 minute wait, but were able to go to Barrel Proof for a few drinks while we waited. Everything was pretty spicy, so be prepared for some heat.

We got: shrimp wontons, hot and sour soup, Duck lo mein, scallop egg foo young, mapo tofu, and an egg roll. The soup was honestly one of the best things I’ve had in a very long time. We enjoyed everything, except the mapo tofu, which had a little too overpowering chili flavor. Duck lo mein and scallop egg foo young were great.

It was a little pricey IMO, but overall for a first weekend it was a great experience, and we are for sure going back.

what. the. f*ck. No thanks. I'll wait a few months.

ETA: More than one person has mentioned that the service leaves a lot to be desired, as well.

Going to wait for the crowd to calm down before I check it out. I have been following them on social media for awhile.

Yup me too. Looks great. I was actually at Claret yesterday and thought of going but it looked too packed.

Yep. Sounds like a Tuesday night dinner plan.

If you're bitching about service when they've been open for only a week you should probably keep to eating your Rice -a- Roni at home.

We knew it was going to be a wait and were fine with going get drinks while we waited.

Service was pretty good IMO. Nothing outstanding, but nothing wrong with it.

I expect good food considering it’s being prepared by really fat stoners

I'm not complaining. I'm just going by what I heard, home slice.

I was in Barrelproof last night and the majority of the people in there were waiting for their call to be seated at Blue Giant as well.

Photos so far of the food look awesome.
