Well seeing you are in Bama you are probably one of the assholes who drives 70 and stays in the left lane

How about if you just speed the frick up, to get on the Interstate?
Unless it's physically impossible due to the length of the approach, I'm usually at cruising speed by time I merge.
But it sounds like you're projecting/compensating due to the fact that you're a jackass who doesn't use their turn signal.

truth, if you drive 90 or 70, going faster gets you there maybe 5 minutes faster in most cases, 10 at the most
and you risk $250 tickets or an accident to do it

Well, first, your beef is with my chauffeurs.
Second, i use my free time to downvote excessive thread title capitalization.

Leave for work on time and stop endangering others. If there's "traffic" you aren't saving any time by weaving like an a-hole while endangering everyone else. If the road's not busy no one gives a frick how fast you go.

Some people feel like they have to get to the red light faster than you.

Who said anything about weaving? Speed limits on the interstate are imposed to keep people like you from being overwhelmed with the task of keeping the wheel straight and moving tf on. If going 90 in a lane next to someone going 70 was as hazardous as you think it is then, once again, why is the Autobahn the world standard for infrastructure excellence?

Was actually rolling with traffic about 10MPH over while driving my kid to a birthday party this afternoon. Slowed down because WTF would I want to start that misery earlier than I have to.

There's this amazing thing that was invented many years ago and is standard equipment on all cars these days. It's called cruise control. It will prevent you from emotional driving and you'll never get a speeding ticket or hold up traffic.

Excellence of the autobahn infrastructure has nothing to do with speed limits and everything to do with construction excellence and state of the art inspections.

quote:I think you misinterpreted. I definitely mean already in passing lane at passing lane flow/speed. The guy I like to block (after judging the risk of safely doing so) that wants to go 90-95 and jumps around to the right to pass 1-2 cars and sneak back over to the left before the slow18 wheeler on the right is in his face. I argue his pass on the right messes up the flow of the passing lane and making the highway more dangerous. When he jumps back on the left, he does so in a small window between cars, slows the one he passes down causing a chain of cars that end of abruptly braking. That braking instead of a smooth consistent speed increases risk of an incident- especially if passing lane cars are too close together, in a construction zone, not paying close enough attention, distracted, etc. I like to play the block if it’s safe to do so to teach a lesson (and enjoy the melt) and keep the highway safer overall.
If you don't want to pass or if you want to drive slowly, stay in the lane designated for that. Otherwise, let people use the left lane for the purpose it was created.

passing lane flow/speed.
If there is a line in the passing lane it’s usually because of a left lane driver passing the 18 wheeler by going 1-2 mph faster. The guy squeezing in is being dangerous but attempting to block them out can be just as risky. Therefore, all three of you dingbats are in the wrong.
It infuriates me when there is a line of cars in the left lane because they are too lazy to efficiently return to the right hand lane after passing a truck.
