Poor guy was really emotional after the bullshite call. Didn't see the court in OT.
BI straight business and took over.

They targeted him since he was a rookie. That’s some absolute horseshite in that sequence.

The refs hand went up before the contact.

It was a BS call. They would not have called it on a non rookie.

I knew once Gentry moved him away from the inbound passer that something stupid would happen. frick the refs

Alvin unloaded several” fricks” after that one.

He did what was supposed to do. He did nothing wrong there.

There is no blame, but on the corruption of the referee crew.

No he didn’t. He was on Gobert’s left arm. LINK
The call should have never been made. The call was bullshite.
That doesn’t mean this can’t be a teaching moment for the coaching staff to Hayes. I have a strong belief something similar will be said in the film room. They won’t watch the film and go “That wasn’t a foul, you got screwed” and then move on to watching the overtime footage.

Don’t come on the board blaming Hayes. That call was stupid and the refs taking away from the game.

Please point out where I blamed Hayes. I said he wasn’t perfect.
Please point where I said it was even a bad call, much less the right call. I said multiple times how horrendous the call was.
Stop being dense

You gonna ignore Gobert’s extending his arms and pushing Hayes out of the way? Get real.

He was pulling Hayes's jersey

You said it was to be a teaching moment. This insinuates he should learn from mistakes. This equals you placing some blame on him for straight corruption by the refs.
The only thing he could do is not be there, but the whole point is to be there for defense. There should not have been a call and it was the ref just trying to influence and extend the game. The refs should be suspended.

So what is the teaching moment? If a bigger, stronger man jabs his forearm into a smaller man the smaller man can either grab hold to keep balance or flop. If he flops, doesn’t get the call, and Gobert gets the tip then people lose their minds that Jaxson needs to get stronger.
It’s either a no call or an offensive foul on Gobert for initiating the contact in the first place.

I’ve stated my thoughts. I’m not going to go back and forth on one play all night. I think Jaxson can do a better job of not grabbing the defenders arm with .02 on the clock. (Which he does in the video. I understand Gobert pushes off, but this is about the way Hayes approaches this play) Favors had positioning in front already. You just have to be careful.
You are more likely to be called for a foul in this scenario than have a successful tip-in with four defenders surrounding the restricted area.

That was a 1 in a million call. shite like that almost never happens. The refs clearly had an agenda to protect the Jazz but failed when Gobert missed the game winning free throw.
