Thanks Mr. Beckham for embarrassing LSU

I am an alumnus of LSU. I am not here to discuss the "juvenile" distribution of cash by Mr. Beckham, although it was foolish and made LSU look bad. I want to address his behavior in the locker room after the game. In particular, I witnessed Beckham strike a security officer on his butt. After this I had to watch him dance around and sing a song about "getting his gat (gun) in front of the officer. Hopefully most of the members of the team look upon Beckham as an idiot. Perhaps, Beckham is trying to establish some "street creds"; that is hard to do when you come from a well to do family and attended a privileged uptown school in NOLA. I appreciate men like Shaq, Casanova, Peterson, etc. who always represent LSU in a positive manner. Quite frankly, I hope that LSU should demand some sort of apology from Beckham, and that he be banned from LSU locker rooms, fields, etc. Beckham cheapened LSU's national championship by his actions.

Would have agreed with some of your uppity rant until you ended it with this complete nonsense. You're correct that slapping a security guard's arse was out of line, but - this does NOTHING to embarrass LSU, this is just a bad look for Odell ONLY, who lost control of his emotions while celebrating with the TEAM. He gave the players cleats and they all love him. Hopefully he apologizes, and it's over. Perhaps he is still a "juvenile" at age 27 and has some growing up to do.
But I feel bad for YOU that you would allow something like this to lessen your happiness for Coach O and the PLAYERS on their amazing accomplishment.
