I can't see how suspensions could even come if LSU immediately investigated and is continuing to be active about it. Especially if they can determine it was returned. I can't see how any returning player would keep the money.

At least this was after the game and season and they can address it before a new season.

Probably just a worst case scenario. But Ohio St got busted for the cover-up way more than anything else.

Best to get it out there, and get it over with.

You’d like to think they had the sense not to, but here’s my concern: Imagine being that age and partying with a millionaire pro athlete in NOLA.. I can think of quite a few ways that money could have been spent within 2-3 hours.

Also it would still be against NCAA rules even for the players who are not returning, as they are still student athletes until they declare. No impact to the players obviously, but I’m not sure if the NCAA would choose to hit the program. Seems like the upside is that it happened after the game so you don’t have to worry about any potential ineligibility DURING the game. But if he was doing it on the sidelines before they even did the fricking trophy ceremony.. who knows.

My guess is that our compliance department resolves this quickly and we move on. For once this is what they are paid to do...
