It would be to college football's great benefit if Florida State, Miami, and Virginia Tech made strides with their football programs.

Otherwise, Clemson is more or less an automatic playoff team.

"In a nutshell that's a childish message of someone who is a sore loser, butt-hurt and salty individual who uses that "self-defense mechanism" to ease away the jealousy & emotional agony felt."

Yep, exactly.

Lot's of "fans" can dish it out, but cannot take it.

Tip your hat to the winner and move on.

Peace.

Clemson plays in the anemic ACC, so the truth is they have an automatic playoff bid for pretty much the foreseeable future.

THIS!

And add Oklahoma and OSU to the auto bid also

It must be nice getting an auto bid to the playoffs going through the ACC which is only as good as the group of 5 conference the American this year, but enjoy the L until then!

Even if TL goes 44-1 in his career it warms my heart knowing he'll tell NFL scouts all he remembers from his college career is that one L

Agreed... Like I said, put them in SECW and they take 2-3 losses. They aren't even concerned with how their free pass automatic bid is perceived. I predict Mac Brown will give them at least a decent game and potential loss real soon.

Exactly! It’s all they have to cling to while we bask in Championship glory for the next 8 months!

We could lose 20 starters from this year and still win the ACC next year.

Not this year tho. The nega-Tigers left a while back ago.

There were and are here. Christ they had a 4 page Fire Woodward thread because Joe Brady is leaving.

I love this place but to say their aren’t a lot of insecure posters here is being dishonest.

Ummm ....I’ve seen this place pretty insecure lots of times.

no. You have seen this place melt. Implode. Be a living breathing cesspool of negativity. You have never seen this place minimize everything else to insure the program looks better.

Our fans make everything look great to try to emphasize how terrible we are. We make bad shite up about our own selves

Is it? I mean this year's recruiting class for them is unprecedentedly good but prior to that I thought LSU had higher rated guys across the board.

There's really nothing else to say.

Clemson probably would have won the SEC East this year over UGA, but I wouldn't have guaranteed it.

In the West- behind LSU, Alabama likely, and God forbid Auburn is close late against them.

They almost lost to UNC. If they played tough opponents each week they'd drop games to teams like Florida most years.

Their program is basically designed to have 10 exhibition games per season. This allows backups to get a ton of reps that creates experienced depth and fresh legs for the post-season.

Depends, do they have LSU and Alabama as their West opponents, while UGA does not?

People can say what they want, but playing Maryland at 10AM on a Saturday in front of 50k is not the same as going to The Swamp at night.

With their schedule go ahead and pencil them in . They would lose at least 2 games playing a SEC west schedule...

The sad part of that is, Maryland probably was one of their better rivals, and now they're in the Big 10.

The ACC would have potential, if only some programs could revive. Pitt, Syracuse, Boston College, Miami, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Louisville, Ga Tech- those should be bowl teams, with a couple pushing 10 wins.

They play in the 6th best conference in NCAA and have the #1 recruiting class. If they don’t make it they should be ashamed of themselves

Clemson was nobody until a couple of years ago. Now all of a sudden they're a dynasty.
