Les got fired because this absolutely isn’t true.
You need good coaching.
It’s pretty obvious it didn’t matter who was coaching for Les, they we’re being inhibited.
OP is right. Players make schemes look ingenious.

Damn people. It’s not all one or the other. You have to have BOTH talent AND coaching. This is not a mystery.
Look at it this way. Orgeron was coming off an 11 win, top 10 season with a NY6 Bowl win last year and shook things up instead of sitting still. I’m so impressed by that move. He didn’t have to do it. He could have just put it on cruise control and kept doing what we were doing but he didn’t, and now we have a title because of it.
Based on that, I don’t see O getting complacent here. He’s going to hire someone he trusts to keep things moving forward. That is no guarantee of success going forward, but this mindset gives us a better chance than complacency would.
Right now, what happens hinges on whether Steve is thinking about retirement or not. If he isn’t, I imagine they will try to find someone who will work with Steve to fill Brady’s role and keep running the same system next year. Maybe that’s Munoz, maybe it’s someone outside the program.
If Steve does want to retire, no one could blame him. After winning it all and what his family has been though the last month, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he does. If that happens, then O has a much bigger decision to make. That would be really interesting.

And Les is a coach. So this is still a coaching issue.

Our scheme looked anything but Ingenious last year. Keep pretending Joe almost quadrupled his TDS because of spring camp.
Bad schemes can hamstring Great players.
