Just built a computer for the first time. Got everything in the right place seemingly which was a win.
Windows 10 has been downloaded.
Now to the frustrating issues. Downloading drivers.
I have a cheap redragon 3200 dpi mouse and when I plug it in, nothing happens. Went to download the drivers, which is a pain in the fricking arse to do when you have no mouse and have to navigate the WWW with just the keyboard. When I go to install and set up it says “mouse NOT detected”
Is the mouse just broken or something else?
Haven’t even started to try to download the drivers for the WiFi chip I installed to the motherboard so I don’t have to be connected to Ethernet cable.
If I can get this damn mouse to work I feel like things will be 10x easier.

Just buy a new one. Mice are cheap. If you must use that one, download the drivers on another computer and save to usb stick.

1) Is the USB port working for other things?
2) find a genric mouse and use it first. maybe even an old school wired one.
It will

It was some deal on amazon where I got a keyboard and a mouse. Walmart here I come I guess.

Bargain basement shopping yields bargain basement results. Just get a Microsoft or Logitech mouse. They work with everything.
