Again man, your thread title is misleading. That's my only gripe. You are complaining about paying for a shitty service that you aren't actually paying for...
ESPN/Disney has no obligation to provide a person who isn't even a customer with a good product. If your mother in law wants to start a thread on here complaining about her service, then I'll actually care since she is paying for it. But you aren't, yet you kept posting about paying for it...

And why should that matter anyway?
