Talk about your all time horrible optics. Trump blows out your guy’s a-hole and you look like little weak children crying.
I mean you can look somber. But they were open mouth bawling like toddlers. Any semblance of toughness they would ever try to portray was wiped out in that moment.

This is more of a cultural / religious misunderstanding than them not being “tough”.
Most of them grew up in a much harsher context than any poster on this board has ever had it.
Shia are just heavy into the portrayal of themselves as a persecuted, suffering, martyred people.
They benefit from the internal optics, their lamenting his death in such a manner isn’t meant for international consumption but rather that of the Shia community.

The question is whether it is sincere or out of fear. This is NK shite we're talking about here. For all we know the people in the picture would rather high five each other. But they're likely forced to act that way out of fear.
That doesn't represent most Iranians. Most Iranians are good people who hate their government and are too afraid to speak out.
