Sedan sport suspension

Car idiot here. Traveling sales guy that drives sedans into the ground. Currently have 225k on my Altima
Looking at getting a 2018-2019 sedan similar like an Accord or Altima or Camry.
I found one I liked but it’s a sport model and has sport tuned suspension.
How big of a deal is this and is a deal breaker? It says online you feel the road more so I’m imagining feeling every bump and piece of gravel.

A sport model of a car like that doesnt mean much
Mostly cosmetic stuff
Sport version of an Audi A4 or bmw 3 series is a whole different beast

If it's a Camry or Accord it's almost nothing you'd notice.

Ok that’s what I’m thinking. The Altima SR has 19 inch rims and some extras I like but was nervous about feeling too much of the road.

Can’t go wrong with Accord or Camry. Not sure about Altima.

It will be a little stiffer ride and lower profile tires, but still a fairly comfortable sedan ride. It’s mostly cosmetic. Some of them also include tighter steering ratios.

My Mazda 6 is a sport edition
I have a button that I can hit & it does something to make the car go faster quicker
I don’t use it, don’t notice anything different from the previous 6 I had that I lost in the flood

Thanks all. I’m intrigued by the redesign of the Altima’s. The interiors are nice and the exterior is the classic safe sedan look. Nothing fancy.

I honestly like a firm suspension. You feel stuff you roll over more, but you also stay more level, i.e. experience less pitch and roll.

Trust me I love the Q50 but have had 2 people tell me how bad the center infotainment sucks. I googled it and reviews say how delayed response is and that would drive me nuts
It’s a big deal to me. The new altimas have apple car play and a ton of extra with entertainment

Yeah I hear ya but I can only go off my experiences.
Have 225k on my Altima and wife has a 2013 Pathfinder with 100k. Both with CVTs and both never been in the shop other than oil changes and tires and tune up.
I’m not saying I’m getting another Altima just saying I’ve had good experiences. I’m all about driving the others

Run. Nissan is plagued by transmission issues.
If you're doing mostly highway driving, look at an Accord or Camry. If you have a higher budget, Lexus offers the smoothest highway ride IMO.

This. The Audi A4 and S4 are two completely different cars. Likewise for the Bimmer 328i and M3.

My wife (no pics) drives an Accord Sport and I couldn’t tell the difference between the ride in it or the other model we test drove. I will say that the low profile tires suck for city driving because she has destroyed all 4 wheels parking too close to curbs.

Yeah, some of those giant wheels are a bit much. 17" is the biggest I'd want.
Aftermarket wheels are the worst. I don't hate 1999-2004 Mustangs, for example, but when you put big 20" wheels on them the wheels look more substantial than the car, in a painful and hideous way.

If you are a road warrior a larger diameter "sport" tire gives you less service.
1) The are generally made with softer rubber that wears out faster.
2) They are wider so there is more friction and scrubbing when turning..faster wear, less mpg.
3) They ride rougher being low profile. This is what causes a lot of the rough ride. There is less tire between the rim and the road.
4) Being low profile there is less air in the tire. So as a tire looses air you are more likely to get a low tire warning. PIA
5) If you are in Podunk USA and have a flat many small town tire shops don't always have the latest equipment to break down new larger diameter tires, You stuck.
6) They are a lot more expensive to buy.
275/55/17. 1st number is width of tire tread in mm. 2nd number is a ratio. In this case the height of the tire between rim and road as a percentage. 3rd number is diameter.
SO long story short sports package tires are not good for someone who makes a living on the road mainly because of the tires.

Fitting your criteria, they make a TRD Camry. It is actually well priced as it's between the SE and XSE instead of most companies having the sport as most equipped and expensive model. Its got the same drivetrain as the XSE so reliability, fuel mileage, etc remain the same.
Also if not large enough, they are coming out with a TRD Avalon I believe. NISMO for Nissan only has a Sentra for their sport lineup.
I think the looks and uniqueness of the TRD Camry would fit a traveling sales guy. I sit next a red one everyday in 5pm BR traffic and I wouldnt mind it being my daily sedan. The looks are aggressive and I could do without the wing, but its part of what makes it noticable.
