Notice the Brits, Canadians, Germans, etc are quiet about the whole thing. Even Trump didn’t mention it in his statement. And the Iranian foreign minister talking about not escalating anymore.
All these things points to a nervous Iranian air defense soldier who panicked and fired on the jet. Plus, Iran almost immediately said they didn’t want any help with the investigation.
So they know what happened, confessed to the Euros, and everyone stays quiet.

They are actually demanding answers, the plane had 80 Canadians on board. Trudeau made a statement yesterday saying the government wouldn't rest until the knew the answer.
