Hardly.
Like I said on another post, I enjoy watching young'ns [posers or players] make fools of themselves.
Should listen more and say less.

UGAs best insiders have said that Burton's report is untrue. Evans LOI was received, accepted and submitted according to them.
Have see nothing from them saying he can't enroll early. That stuff is coming from a brother that may or may not know anything. He's not the closest family member.
Reading between the lines, they just flat out don't think Evans wants to be there and think the UGA staff is pissed because Evans contacted other staffs within 24 hours of submitting his LOI.
Other speculation is that the strange "coaches leaving" mentioned by him to Brian Dohn after the game may be him talking that UGA may have told him another staff has coaches leaving and he found out it isn't true. That would go along with the Burton talk and the Brady contract. Wouldn't out it past Kirby. He knows most kids will just stick after signing even if the lie is exposed or that he can explain that things changed.
As with everything involving Evans, who the frick knows the real truth. All I know is that public apology at the UA game was not anything grade related so it doesn't back up the ACT thing. You don't apologize for a test score.

What is true is that the family was sniffing for cash and Kirby's boys came through with enough to make the LOI signing happen. Evidently not unusual these days (past as well) for the familial influencer to "sell" the kid for $25-50K in benjamins. Not everyone is playing but Kirby is.
Source: 2 schools' recruiting departments speaking independently. Both had the option to outbid UGA & declined. Not saying they would not have participated in a different situation but both viewed this kid, or his family, as a little wacky.

We don't want this turd! Tell him to keep walking and find a program that's going to tolerate his poor behavior and elitist attitude. Let's go after Gibbs and call it a day!

Bottom line. Every school has a bag man. The kid is legit, maybe a problem but whatever. We could always sign little Johnny.

Can u say what is Burtons report, is this a Twitter story from the flip commit Burton or a uga insider?
Seems you are saying that i20 is passing along a story from Burton but where is this story or rumor at? Twitter?
I thought i20 explanation kind of filled in all the blanks about wtf has been going on.

Just an idea but with UGA getting hit with recruiting violations, the timing of this if true, has to make you wonder if there is any relation?

I thought if a school gives the player the paperwork they must accept it. If not, what would stop a school from giving 50 players papers and only submit the best 25?

If some recruiting department told you that it was 25-50k to actually sign a kid, they are full of shite. That’s the going rate to get an in home visit set up with a top flight kid. Source:nunya

Tweet apologizing for the error...
Burton Tweet
Well I guess not an apology, just a correction.

This. Whoever BayouCatFan is gives Lesther Earl a run for their money as the dumbest, most idiotic poster in the history of the Rant. I wish there was a block button so I wouldn't have to see their bullshite.

Good for Bobby coming out and saying it. The way Evans has handled all this is pathetic
There Zach. Everyone knows where you’re going
Grow up

This is Burton's tweet:
It's true that the LOI doesn't 100% bind a school to a player. LOI's are conditioned (e.g. gotta meet academic requirements, be accepted for admission). This said, once the LOI is declared valid, it does count against the school's signing limits. So why won't anybody go on the record saying he signed?
quote:
Correction: UGa has submitted Evans’ paperwork to the NCAA per two 247Sports sources. As a reminder, LOI’s bind a player to the school, not the school to the player. And he has signed with UGa.
