Jeez, some of those teams are getting royally fricked by their coaches.

Spoiler: O isn’t listed.
Top three are Harbaugh, Saban, Dabo at 1.

Coach Orgeron's magic works best at LSU.
We don't need to worry about him going anywhere.

Coach O, paid his coaching staff the big money. He knows they are the reason for our success. Trick is keeping them, with Aranda not wanting to be a HC, and Brady most likely to move in a few years. No doubt Ensminger can direct the offensive plays Brady has implemented. And Aranda can get rich and recruit for years to come.
Also, don’t think he didn’t listen to Ole Coach Robinson, about getting quality assistants that can bring your program to NC aspirations each year.

Coach O has beaten 7 of the 10 top this year, with a chance to make it 8. Not a bad run.

Mr. FLECK is a better coach than half that list, AND a better leader of young men than most of that list

My god Purdue
Yeah, how did Brohm warrant that coming from Western Kentucky?
Also, whatever happened with the unsigned contract stuff for Willie Taggart? Is he really owed that much or not?

O has beaten 7 of the top 10 this season... about to beat the 8th, IMHO.

O will get paid a lot more very soon, but in fairness, he has some of the highest paid assistants in the land. I think everyone involved would be happy with Coach O at around $6 million and his staff still getting paid well. Remember, Brady's paycheck is about to get a LOT heavier, too. We could be sitting at around $11 million for the HC and coordinators.
Also worth noting, the annual coaching carousel usually drives those numbers even higher, $6-7 million should land Coach O in the top 10.

That's why LSU's situation at HC should be the ENVY of every AD in America. And why I hope Woodward isn't dumb enough to spoil it by unnecessarily giving O a huge raise/guaranteed extension after this season. LSU is in a spot where they CAN compete financially with any of the teams on that list in terms of coaches salary, but they don't have to right now because NONE of the big players are realistically coming after O.
Modest bump in salary as a reward for this season? Fine. Sweeten the incentive clauses. Sure. But for Godsakes don't lock yourself into a huge buyout in the event you have to make a change in the upcoming years.

Simple. There was a realistic market for him outside of just Purdue. Namely Louisville.
