Hey we all screw up and how we learn and improve afterword determines who we are.. what I've been told is that there is very good synergy inside the LSU locker room and with the RB group. Coach O, but more importantly T.Rob were very hesitant in the weeks before ESD on whether they wanted to risk bringing someone in like that. He deserves a 2nd chance, but it's likely he'll be asking for 5, 6, 7 chances after he signs with someone.

He didn’t make it sound like ACT stuff. More about him being a hot head.

he’s sorry he flunked the ACT or whatever

he definitely needs to apologize to all the HS and college coaches.

It’s a different issue, but I could care less about his ACT/SAT scores and grades as well, as long as he isn’t skipping classes. They don’t ask about these scores when entering the NFL and the Wonderlic isn’t some kind of dealbreaker.

I’m glad that didn’t look at my 40 time when applying to medical school.

Since you just came out from under that rock...he punched two of his coaches the night before the state championship game.

He's not coming here, but still good to see him own up to his mistakes. You can debate whether or not he means it but the only way to know is through his actions going forward.

That aside, I'm still curious with Milton in the mix if one will transfer in a year or not.

Apologized about his mistake (non-genuine) and then kept saying he was ready to compete to show he can play. If it were a sincere apology, he would have made the apology the focal point of interview, not "I'm ready to compete."

What?

His quote, and I’m paraphrasing “it was stupid (getting kicked off the team.) It was an immature decision and I was being selfish.”

What else you want the guy to do? He just went on national television and apologized.

When you apologize to the camera it seems disingenuous. When you apologize to those who need an apology behind closed doors and then walk the walk from then on, I will give you credit.

I’ve known Zach since his freshman year. He’s always been respectful with me- “yes sir, no sir”. Always shakes my hand and looks me in the eye with respect. He really is a good kid and I believe in him. His problem has always been that he’s emotional. You combine that with the fact that he lacks the right guidance in his personal life and he’s been coddled as the “next best thing” since he’s been in middle school. He gets something in his head and makes immature decisions but always ends up apologizing afterward. Actions have consequences and I applaud Coach Kay and his coaches at North Shore in working really hard with him for four years. I’m willing to give a teenager a chance to learn and grow. Wherever he goes, I hope he learns that he won’t get special treatment. He won’t get second and third chances. He needs to mature. And I think he will. Good luck to Zach. I hope he finds guidance and success wherever he goes.

Who is to say he didn’t apologize behind closed doors as well? They’ve interviews players all day. You have a hall of famer sitting next to you and vouching for you.

He even admitted Deion coached him up on how to handle adversity, pretty sure Deion wanted him to answer those questions in front of a camera as well.

I wish the best for this kid. I hope he’s a Tiger, but if not, I hope he utilizes his second chance the same way Deion did.

So this kid has academic issues along with punching his coaches before a championship game? Yeah I’m all set with rb’s. They’re a dime a dozen. I’m all for second chances but he can have it elsewhere

I rewinded it to get it exact. He stated:

- He apologized to his college coaches (not High School)
- He says he is a good kid.
- He says he learned from the coaches at UA game on how to handle adversity.
- He does say he made some stupid decsions and is ready to compete at the next level (no apology to his HS coaches - just ready to compete).
- He says he is ready to come in ("to college") to work and be coachable (again, not an apology - just about his future).

When directly asked by the interviewer about the HS incident:

- "It was stupid. It was an immature decision, I was being selfish to my teammates, and I'm ready to come in (to college) and show them I'm ready.

Although this is somewhat an apology, if you heard it live, it didn't seem sincere and it was more about I want to show you I can play, not I'm sorry for what I did and it won't happen again.

My opinion, it will happen again as soon as he doesn't get his way. He seems like a spoiled kid and it is more about him than the team first.

Well did Northshore win state? I am old but being kicked off high school team like that in my day most all of teams would have pulled their offer. He would have to go Juco to prove it’s not going to happen again. But today you can rape or kill someone and still play

The fact that they didn't let him play in the State Championship speaks a mouthful to me. How disrespectful do you have to be for the star player to not play in a State Championship.

If he doesn't have the grades and has a "look at me" attitude, let him enroll elsewhere. RBs are a dime a dozen.

Boy, that's quite the reach.

You don't know if it was genuine, and you pretending every genuine apology is done the exact same way is illogical.

This is not true at all.

We can debate all day whether it was sincere, only one person knows that. We have no clue.

But the apology covered all the bases, he said all the right things.
