You also know how much I went to bat for Mahomes on the MSB & Saints Talk especially when it really looked like Payton was about to his QB for life after
As did I. I’m not really an Hebert guy, this is more of a story about how QB vetting is hard for professionals much less Tigerdroppings

Me either. He's a good kid though with life options. He's in a win-win situation regardless.

QB vetting is hard
It is very hard if you don't dig & research or watch enough games. The average poster doesn't or if they do, they don't understand what exactly to look for. I'm not saying I'm not perfect at it either (no one is) but I do a ton of research before I dropped a detailed post on a player.

If you study the complete history of the NFL Draft (there many wild stories) & a lot of the thought process in drafting QBs, you would be amazed at how clueless many front office's are when it comes to drafting QBs. Many completely ignore the work done by the league scouting services (Blesto & National) as well as their own in house scouts.
You have to understand that owners made their livings outside of football. Many of them bring in personnel from their billion dollar corporations to serve in front office positions. These owners & front office many times draft QBs on gut instinct, a flip of a coin, advice from a bum on the corner or being able to sell tickets off a QBs name. The owners who really are into winning surround themselves with the best personnel who have backgrounds in the sport.
