It would be quite detrimental if he left. Yes E carries a lot of the load but he can't just steal Brady's playbook and keep up this rate of success. Maybe in the short term but we would need another Brady type hire to go with E to keep the offense updated and fresh. Maybe we find one as good or better than Brady. Maybe we don't. I don't want to find out anytime soon though.

That's what some people don't understand. You always have to put new wrinkles in your scheme. So much time is devoted to studying opposing teams schemes, that if you don't make any changes, it will essentially become stale and teams will start to stop it.

I agree with you. And like I said, I think Brady has been fantastic and deserves all the good things coming to him. But I still think people over estimate his impact and under estimate the other things I mentioned.

In a perfect world, we get Brady and E back for the next ten years as co-offensive coordinators, and Burrow keeps getting granted extra years of eligibility. I can drink to that.
