I go to the Fiesta Bowl every year with my family and in my opinion this Fiesta Bowl was one of the worst I have seen. OSU started off looking fairly good, but fizzled out for much of the game. Clemson never looked good. They seemed completely and utterly unprepared for this game. Continuous errors, miscues, and blown plays. Lots of confusion on the sidelines (you didn’t see on TV). Clemson’s O-line couldn’t protect Lawrence. He was forced to run, throw away, or make forced throws much of the time. LSU’s secondary is only going to be better. Continuous penalties, overthrown and under thrown passes by both teams, it felt like I was watching a high school game. I was bored. And honestly, I don’t believe Clemson deserved that win. OSU was the better team. Clemson didn’t win the game…OSU lost the game. I couldn’t believe I was watching the #2 and #3 teams in the country. Sad. If Clemson plays the way they did in the Fiesta Bowl, LSU will destroy them. I am a football fan first, so I say this with all do respect, barring some miraculous improvements to Clemson or catastrophic changes to LSU, Clemson is going to suffer the same fate as Oklahoma, maybe worse. I realize that the NCAA good-ole-boy deep state club wants to punish LSU for replacing Alabama, Ohio State, and USC in "their" championship game by rooting for Clemson, touting how inferior LSU is to Clemson while showcasing the same 4 or 5 good plays that Clemson actually had in the Fiesta Bowl, but the truth is, Clemson is not that good this year on either side of the ball. For much of the Fiesta Bowl they couldn’t do anything against a team that didn't look that great either. Clemson's powder puff conference is going to betray them. There are other teams with 2-3 losses that are more potent than Clemson. This is going to be a fun game for us. Sorry for the word spew.

I think the Peach Bowl did a pretty good job clearing that up.

TLDR

just kidding. I totally agree with your assessment. Those calls/missed calls were huge in a game that wasn’t very pretty to begin with. Clemson will get mushed.

I think OSU got really unlucky. The fumble/touchdown that got overturned, the last interception in the end zone and Dobbins getting hurt was all just really bad luck for OSU.

If you were bored watching that game, you genuinely may have chronic depression

You know some high school teams are very good and don't display what you are describing.

I agree for the most part, but specifically, they were the number 2 and 3 teams...

Only Alabama could beat either of them more times than nought...
But Florida, Auburn and Georgia likely beat OSU 3/10 times and Clemson 4/10 times...

I agree that OSU "looks" better but on that night, they lost 3 straight quarters to Clemson...even a frazzled Dabo is a better coach than Day, Fields could not operate well under pressure, and OSU's defense made pedestrian adjustments to Clemson's shift in gameplan and play...

So, I don't think they suck, BUT BOTH TEAMS ARE OVERRATED...
SEC is far and away better than the other conference's this year...the PAC and B12 are just too weak.

Couldn’t you just as easily say Clemson replaced Alabama, Ohio State, and USC in “their” championship game? Why would LSU be the bad guy in this scenario but not Clemson?

OP, do you really believe what you typed or are you simply playing to the home crowd?

Ample evidence to back up most his assertions...it's just easy to disagree with some of the finer points, and strong opinions

I would submit that it is more likely that two undefeated teams with two of the top defenses in the country had impacts on each other's offenses, rather than the assertion that they both just suck and each got lucky 13 times this season.

New here obviously, and trying to get a feel for the opponents board. Seems like a ton of hyperbole for the home team and little objectivity for the opponent.

In complete fairness to both Ohio State and Clemson better competition will make you look average or at least not dominant. These were 2 undefeated teams that beat everyone on their schedule and had the longest winning streaks going in the entire country. It was an epic battle of titans any way you slice it and dice it. Your analysis of the game is border line trolling IMHO. However, reading it was rather amusing and had some merit but a bit on the far side. Clemson will give LSU everything they have and it will be a great game!
