I did not keep it.
OP, make sure you stay on your investigating officer. The troubled youths that took mine could've been caught or at least ID'd had the officer assigned to my case been somewhat competent. They had also taken an old checkbook of mine from an inactive account and bought some stuff at Target. Target sent me a letter for the bad check that was written. Well, they keep their tape for 30 days. I told my officer to check the tapes at Target, but he waited too long and they had erased them already. Missed it by one day.
