Because next year recruiting is loaded with talent?

At first I was going to say “probably not”. But if you look at the numbers (if you maintain the belief that Lorando and C Jackson sign), we’re sitting at 21 signings.

My guess is we land: DT McKinnley Jackson, S Kaufman, OT Crawford, and one of the RB’s we’re pursuing.

I really really hope we have recovered or can recover things with Lorando and sign him.

I feel the same way about him as I did when we got Flott and Ward last year. Both were overlooked because of measurables but are studs.

It's fluid.

Likely at least a spot or 2 remain open for a while. Not necessarily all the the way to next class.

I think we’ll sign 24 and leave a spot open for a potential transfer
Jahmyr Gibbs (RB)
McKinnley Jackson (DL)
Ty Crawford (OL)
Kauffman/Lorando/Williams (DB)
Hopefully we can make up ground on potentially flipping Van Pran as well.

This guy seems to think Gibbs isn’t happening. Any reason why he thinks this?

Patience. I still think O has at least one silent commit to announce at all star games. We will get At least one more offensive lineman, (I think 2], another DB, a defensive lineman and at least one RB, maybe Evans (I know everybody says I think he’s the silent commit.)

plenty of reason to think this... dude hasn't even been to campus... ever... we have a TON of ground to make up to even hope to get this dude's signature... at this point, it's highly, HIGHLY unlikely we sign him...

i think you see Kaufman, Johnson, Cam Jackson, possibly Crawford round out the class... they'd love to get McKinley Jackson, but i dunno... been sorta all over the place since the beginning with this dude, so not sure about him...

No one here is an insider so no one really knows the answer. Too many changing variables

..

I'm thinking we don't sign those 2 and save two or three spots for a transfer and next years class. But who knows how strongly the staff feels about them

I honestly don't care if we don't fill it out. If the # we end up with is all dudes we ABSOLUTELY wanted then I'm good with that.

I feel better at RB after seeing Curry last night, so no reason to 'reach' on an RB, just use one of the spots for a transfer...

Which of our veteran offensive linemen will we lose?Adrian Magee, who could play both guard positions and left tackle, a really good right guard Damien Lewis, a backup right tackle Badara Traore are seniors. On paper, the tackles Charles and Deculus are juniors and so is the center, Cushenberry. Any chance they return? Ingram and Hines return at guard along with Donavaughn Campbell. Kardell Thomas and Thomas Perry were redshirted because of injury. Not sure if Bradford was redshirted or not. He and Perry were tried at tackle in the fall, and Kardell Thomas is a guard. Dare Rosenthal has been praised by the coaching staff as a good prospect at left tackle. Not sure how much he played this year. He and Cameron Wire were listed as redshirt freshmen this year. If Coach O can get Cush, Deculus and Charles to return, the O-line would not have to depend on freshmen. Even the redshirts have some experience with spring training and the playoffs that will put them ahead of incoming freshmen. What have you heard on the depth up front?

So, Rosenthal could start at left tackle and the prize recruit, Dumervil, could back him up. Getting Deculus to return with possibly Bradford behind him, might be one solution for the tackle positions. And Cush comes back at center. Ingram and Thomas at guard. That would be sweet!

We most likely will. But at a minimum, I think we sogn at least 4 more.

We need a few more guys at the following positions:

We need to sign -
1 RB
1 CB
1 S
1 DT
