I am a Christmas, Weddings, and funerals kind of guy.

But really it is challenging for my family at this stage of life. Does not mean it is justified, but my wife and I believe in the church but are not religious bible thumpers, so if we have other priorities on a Sunday, it takes over. We both recognized this and attempted to change by going to Bible study, holding ourselves accountable for church, etc., but it has not worked. We plan to address it again over the next several months as our kids are starting to be able to sit still, and I believe that a child grows up to be straight laced, have moderate political views, and level headed emotions from going to church as a family.

There are a lot of people like us. We see the good in it, but with the go-go society we live in, it is hard. It does not mean we do not care. On the other hand some families will disown you if you are not in church every Sunday at 10:30, and it is a lifelong habit.
