1.) We absolutely cleaned up on the front 7. Sure it would be nice to have added Burch, but he chose to stay home. Cant get everybody.

2.) Nice additions to the Oline. Still a work in progress, but hopefully Van Pran flips.

3.) Superstars in Gilbert, Ricks and Boutte. Jarrett in Burton left us at the alter, but they play a position where we will always be stacked.

4.) Hidden gems in Max Johnson and Kole Taylor. Both will have major impacts before they leave Baton Rouge.

5.) 6 more slots to fill. Coaches have 7 weeks to fill in the remaining needs. Considering we are in the CFP and the current hot program coaches will be able to get in many doors.

And when you look at those 6 spots, it is basically only looking to fill one spot per position (RB, OL etc). We will finish with good players.

Still have a lot of elite players still in play

Evans
SVP?
Avantae Williams
McKinnley Jackson
Jahmyr Gibbs
Ty’Kieast Crawford
Donovon Kauffman
Edgerinn Cooper
Joel Williams
Continue to recruit Burch like hell until he signs LOI

If we fill out our open slots with any combination of that list I will be very happy.

Coach O knows the priority should be OL/DL, LSU can always get good WRs and DBs.

I don't think Joel Williams will be coming to LSU

I think these guys are all in play

Sedrick van Pran
McKinnley Jackson
Zach Evans/Kevontre Bradford/Ashad Clayton/Jahmyr Gibbs (doesn't seem too into us though)/Michael Drennen II
Ty'Kiest Crawford depending on grades
Cam'Ron Jackson (same)
Lorando Johnson
Jordan Burch (highly unlikely but see what happens)
Demon Clowney (probably even less likely)

But the two most likely players in my opinion are Edgerrin Cooper and Donovan Kaufman.

If one of the RBs and 5 others join, this will be a top 3 class and really strong. I still don't see the point in cutting 4 of the guys we cut though.

Evans, M. Jackson, cooper, Crawford, avantae Williams/ Kaufman, and SVP would be an amazing finish.

Obviously Burch too if I’m being optimistic

I wouldn't mind seeing us save a couple of spots for next year unless they really find some beasts to fill them.

I agree with the open slots. You never know who will be in the transfer portal and if not, you have extra spots for next year. Taking a chance and missing on some recruits is not the end of the world. They will eventually be replaced with quality players. No need to reach.

We will be in good shape and have a really good chance at making a top 3 class.

Good post

Hopefully the coaches can close strong. Some mistakes were made, but they are still in good position to regroup and be a little selective on how they want to round out the class
