He was hoping to do the Marc Morial plan...ride the family name and the Democratic Party into a cushy post--Mayoral gig. That went up in flames when his sister, his party and Hillary got whipped at the polls...so he had to resort to racial pandering to try and make a name for himself. It worked in the short term but slowly, all of his administration failures started coming to light. Suddenly, other "flavors of the month" came along and he was yesterday's news...as he should be.
ETA: I haven't been back to New Orleans in a while, so lemme guess...none of the supposed "improvements" or "replacements" for the removed statues have come to pass, have they?
ETA 2: I see that they did remove the base of the P.G.T. Beauregard statue. Only took them a year.

Landrieu has always been a clinton disciple.
He is running a think tank or as he calls it an “initiative”’that is formed to study racism in America.
The clintons are involved. So is donna brazile and others. The “initiative” does studies on racism and then issues reports that will be used to help form policy in washington dc.
Funding is believed to be at least partially from the Clinton Foundation.
He was actually considered as a vp candidate for Hillary but lost out because of a demograpic study that the clinton foundation did to show that she would he better off with a feminine male.

He was all about helping NOLA post Katrina, even took a camera crew with him to show his hand reaching out to someone in knee deep water. Meanwhile Mary was at LA OEP HQ in Baton Rouge seemingly on thorazine doing the shuffle and bitching about those damned N Word making New Orleans look bad. Sure wish we had cell phone cameras back then when I was there at the total clusterf… with only Vitter doing any work of all the elected officials.

Dude used "turbines" (which not even English engineers pronounce that academic way) as the reason for his absolute failure while obviously sucking the city dry of money. Only place ever to call steam turbine generators as "turbines" I've ever heard of and I've bought and sold a few.
