Per @ESPNRittenberg - Adam Rittenberg, senior CFB writer.
quote:

Sources now telling me #LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda is not expected to be the next #UNLV coach. There were some initial talks from both sides but no offer was made. #Oregon offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo remains a strong candidate for the UNLV job.

Like I said, Aranda doesn’t have a career death wish. If it isn’t a program where he can at least have a chance to win a national title, like an Arkansas or Florida State, he ain’t leaving!

Regardless of whether Aranda is going or not...someone is wrong here.

The AP just published an article saying UNLV had made an offer to Aranda. Rittenberg is saying no offer was made.

Someone is completely wrong on this.

Last post from him I saw he said the offer was on the table and Aranda had to decide.

Looks like he chose wisely.

I’m not against Aranda taking a HC position, but I don’t think he should take a crap job where he will fade away. He’s worth a lot more as a coach than UNLV or similar.

vol just says a bunch of “maybes” and people think he’s an insider. vol doesn’t know shite. He just reads the same articles everyone else does and pretends. He’s a try hard who wants to feel important.
