#LSU AD Scott Woodward says Tiger Stadium is getting brand new, natural turf for next season. It will cost $3.5 million dollars.

Shocking. After they gutted the field and gave away Tiger Stadium sod I thought they were just gonna play on dirt next year.

Before anyone panics it’s just a fancy way of saying new grass(not actual turf)

Youd think that after the third thread on this today that people would understand that natural turf is just grass. We will be putting new grass in TS

It's my understanding that there will be some synthetic turf on the sidelines in the high traffic areas.

Apart from all the meltdown, etc.
What about a new irrigation system and what's going to be changed under the new sod?

For 3.5 million that grass should be able to cut and maintain itself.

Yes. Our field was not holding up. We didn’t pay 3.5 million to replace a great field.

Question how often is this done to a field and what are the reasons and benefits of doing the whole field.
