I have the SAME opinion on WELFARE here - not one DOLLAR in cash - If someone is starving - give them canned vegetables and meat - powdered milk - etc. NOT A DOLLAR of $ to spend on tattoos or fancy nails. ZILCH

This. Not only does it reduce corruption, it goes back into the American economy. Instead of tax $ going directly to a foreign country, American goods will be made and sold to the government, which will then go to a foreign country. So while the tax dollars are still spent, at least it's going into private citizens hands first.

Its the same analogy as panhandlers and beggers only want cash not food. They aren't using the goods given to them for their intended purpose.

It's going to be interesting to see how much money the Dem candidates have to spend in 2020 versus 2016. That should give us a good indication of how much tax payer dollars were laundered though donor organizations in 2016.

Whatever happened to that? I remember a few years where we had the white box of knockoff chex, powdered milk, OJ that tasted like grapefruits, spam... in my house when my family was going through some tough times.
