LINK

"Both programs heavily recruit Houston, and earlier in the week Fisher said recruits of today also tend to heavily weigh how much they can play early for the team that loses, as opposed to recruits of yesteryear simply angling to join a perpetual winner.

If that’s the case, the Aggies should expect a slew of top-notch recruits to show plenty of interest after Saturday night’s setback – because the holes they have to fill to compete for an SEC title appear to be many following the Tigers’ four-quarter exposure of their West division rival."

I mean, he's not completely wrong, but it's not the only or even the major factor. A lot more goes into it than that.

It's nice to check out the Houston Chronicle for the Aggies roundup, and the photo gallery is nothing but LSU guys making plays. No Aggie highlights!

This makes sense if you view yourself as a future NFL corner.
Why come to LSU and sit or share time for 2 years when you can go someplace else and start?
I would think that running backs would look at it the same way.
Your O and D lineman probably realize that they still have to get stronger to play at the next level and will be more patient.
Would Stingley have signed if Greedy had stayed?
We had a kid all ready in the fold who left because he wasn't willing to wait his turn at corner.

No man, a good corner (Flott and Stingley, for example) will play as soon as he learns the ropes. If Greedy had stayed Stingley would still be on the field about 75% of the time.

Only 2 options can explain this BS:
1. Jimbo has lost his mind
2. He has learned that the stereotype of dumb Aggies is in fact true and this is his exploitation of said fact.

The beat writer for the Chronicle is an A7-5M alum. His game story took shots at LSU and read as if it was written by a an A7-5M fan.

KJ left for more than that. He was facing an LSU/NCAA suspension and he didn't like that so he entered the portal. He was going to sit out some games for breaking rules or sit out transferring so he left.

"...but few saw Saturday’s thrashing coming."

Maybe few in College Station or the Houston Chronicle sports department.
