Technically, all of the OC’s we’ve had have been listed as QB coach, Emsminger included. And he’s only coached QB’s when he’s been the OC except at Auburn. Hell, he wasn’t even the OC at the high school he worked at 10 years ago, he was passing game coordinator So I guess what I’m saying is that the TE coach who was here during our worst QB output wasn’t some QB guru, ok. He’s a great guy, and a great Tiger, but he isn’t Lincoln Riley ffs.

The one smart thing CLM did was hire FW on staff!

So no credit for hiring Aranda? Or O?

Or 2011 SEC Champ?

Or landing TM7 & LF7?

Any school that wants to accelerate recruiting has contacted Frank Wilson.

This would include any sec school and Texas.

Joseph is currently the TE coach. Brady is WR coach. Brady is the one that made the WRs catch 10k (I think that's the number) of balls in the off season and implemented all the crazy drills (door opening, batman goggles, etc.) that seem to have paid huge dividends.

I like Frank. Respect what he did in the New Orleans area specifically with Fournette.
But with all due respect to Coach Wilson, what has Robinson at RB and Joseph in New Orleans not done that Wilson would have done? Robinson at worst didn't lose Emery and flipped him from Georgia. He got Davis-Price and developed CEH. Looks like he's getting Evans out of Houston Northshore.
Would Frank have scuttled the Amite Pettito/barber shenanigans? We could've used Smith in the WR bunch but we aren't lacking there with Jefferson and Chase and Marshall. We could've used Sopsher (I guess) as a big body?
Not knocking Coach Frank at all. Much respect for him. But it's not as if we are losing players in New Orleans and South Louisiana without him and there were rumors at least that when he was RC there was a perception that LSU favored South Louisiana players over North Louisiana kids?

In a vacuum I think everyone agrees Frank is a better recruiter than Robinson, regardless of territory or city. There has also been plenty of speculation for the past couple years that Robinson wants to be a RB coach in the NFL. But I am impressed with how well CEH has progressed as a RB under Robinson. But under Frank we went like 6 years or something crazy, in a row where every RB on the depth chart made at least an NFL practice squad. So he's either an incredible evaluator or developer or both.

Robinson and Joseph have caught heat from time to time while at LSU. But when you look at the results on the field you can't complain about the RB and WR performance and Moss has had the best year from a TE in awhile. Granted, Brady helps alot!
But in recruiting, I'm not sure who we have "lost" at RB or in New Orleans since Robinson and Joseph have been here since Frank left? And it seems the recruiting results in North Louisiana have improved a bit with Robinson as RC? Granted, Orgeron helps alot with that.
All I'm saying is we aren't in desperate straights when it comes to recruiting New Orleans/South Louisiana without Coach Wilson and certainly aren't hurting from a statewide/regional/national perspective with Robinson as RC.
As I said it another thread however, I'd love Wilson to replace McMahon who I think is completely useless as a coach and recruiter. Perhaps Wilson as ST coach could improve our return game which is lacking.

Doesn't matter. Find a way to add Frank and keep our other recruiters.

You have no proof that coach O is firing E and promoting Brady to OC

exactly... Brady is a WR's coach, not a QB coach... Franks would have to take someone elses job... and it aint Tommie Robinson unless he goes to the pros... he is the RC and has done a damn good job... now Mickey Joesph on the other hand... you have to ask, who has he brought in.?.. Ensminger should stay on as QB coach in my opinoin... he and Brady have worked very well together... would hate to mess up that mojo with a Sean Salsbury hire...

You are correct 100% ,I hate it when false info gets thrown around with no basis of fact , but you nailed it , in fact they all went on a recruiting trip to Miami and got wooed over there and either 2 out of the 3 or all 3 maybe committed and good ole Frank Wilson was at the airport when they touched down back in New Orleans to squash that with the understanding that he would be on the staff the next year ,I can't see a situation that he would coach for Nick Satan

McMahon hasn't had the best year, but he's been good to us. It's funny how quickly we get spoiled. When Miles was coach, we lost games all the time due to special teams. Orgeron has fixed that and I want it to stay that way.
