Cool indoor pool but that hotel is in need of a serious upgrade. Oh, & recently had an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease...
Googled this. Yes, hotel was closed in July. Reopened in August. LD was found in cooling system and in the atrium fountain.
Again, hotel reopened in August. CDC and the Health Department would not have allowed this to happen if the bacteria in the air was still there.
It's probably cleaner than most hotels right now because health officials are still monitoring it.
Thanks for the heads up.

You booked it Thursday through Saturday morning
Most people want somewhere to stay after the game.

I did not book for Thursday through Saturday. I may have put dates in to show rates.
There was availability earlier today through Sunday.
I think people were waiting to see if they got tickets before they booked a room.

It changes to the weekend rate if you book Saturday night. You can book it for $100. But you’re staying somewhere else after the game.

Stay in Newnan, Fairburn or Peachtree City. Way cheaper and not too out of the way.

I understand that but it wasn't like that earlier in the week and even today. I've been watching and changed hotels and hotel reservations several times.
I have changed my travel a lot this week. As of now, I'm getting to ATL Friday a.m. and leaving ATL after the game because of 90 year old issues. Can't be away long.
Motel 6 on Courtland Street is still available for Saturday night. Rate was $110 per night.

Hotels were cheaper in Buckhead and Perimeter too, all near MARTA.
I need MARTA access because I'm not driving (although I may rent a car to go to my old neighborhood, etc.)
Haven't lived there in 17 years and I don't remember which outlying hotels are on MARTA line and don't have time to research it.

I isually stay downtown at the Marquis or Hyatt, but it is booked or outrageous. I booked a great deal at the W hotel in Midtown. Is Midtown a fun place to stay and do fans stay there?
