Is it similar to a Saints game? Is their stadium parking in the MBS garage? Nearby privately operated parking lots? T.I.A.

MARTA is the way to go. Parking can be a cluster. Each year we park at a local MARTA station on our way into town. Much better option IMO.

I'm driving in. It looks like DART is only for airport shuttles. Yes? LINK

ETA: "MARTA is the way to go. Parking can be a cluster. Each year we park at a local MARTA station on our way into town. Much better option IMO."... Yep. This makes sense.

I was planning to uber to the stadium and hang around nearby bars until traffic clears and uber back to where we're staying. Staying about a mile out from the stadium, even thought about walking if Uber's are a little too pricey.

Buy parking passes and get there early to tailgate.

That is what I’m doing.

We did Marta for Peach Bowl one year worked out fine
Better than overpaying for parking closer to stadium
We were coming from just north of Atlanta from where we were staying

Travel 4 miles (H.E. Holmes Station); no traffic; $2.50?? Hard to beat...

We live near Atlanta. Think the last time we went we ponied up 40 for a big fenced in lot near stadium. Safe and people mini tailgate there. The whole thing is stupid expensive but it is a special treat to get to go. Never have done Marta. Coming from North metro

If you aren't worried about setting up your own tailgate or anything and only worried about getting to and from, you'll definitely want to MARTA. If you left pretty early in the morning you'd be fine using UBER, but getting back to buckhead after is going to be absolute hell, I mean the ubers are going to be stuck in the same traffic as everyone else. I've used marta for every event at MB/Ga Dome/PHillips I've gone to and had no issues aside from a bit of a logjam afterwards, but that's to be expected.

As the other dude said it's $2.50 per trip and you don't have to worry abotu parking or driving. There is a buckhead station as well. The big thing you'll need to remember is taht buckhead is teh RED line. The station just below buckhead is a split point between red and yellow so after teh game going back north you'll want to be sure your train sayd "Northbound -North Springs" [the northernmost stop on the red line" and not northbound Doraville [the northernmost stop on the yellow line].

Here is a map of the stations: LINK

YOu can see Red is the only color that goes to buckhead so when going to the game you've got nothing to worry about, just get on the southbound. YOu will need to get off and transfer at hte 5 point station, but hundreds of people will also be doing this. From there just get on any west bound train (blue or green doesn't matter, you're only going 1 stop) then you're the next stop. AFter the game do the opposite; get on an east bound (color irrelevant), go 1 stop to 5 points, then get on the red northbound north springs train and you're home free.

Is MARTA safe through the south side of town at night? If we stay at the airport that would be the perfect way to get to the game but I don’t want anyone to get shanked on the way back.

Call for Uber or Lyft from the station to your hotel unless you're parking there.

There are ALWAYS undercover MARTA police on the trains and at the stations.
