He was telling recruits that he wasn't going to be at LSU and they should look elsewhere.

The reason for this is because when O took over as interim, one of the first things he did was remove most coaching responsibilities from Craig. The guy is an awful on field coach. Lazy and brought nothing to the offensive staff. O should have officially fired him when he took over and it would have caused a lot less issues later down the road.

I was going to mention this too. At best he was a terrible position coach and lousy recruiter. He deserved to get fired even if these allegations aren't true.

exactly, then DC got fed a plate full of reality

Dameyune Craig was hired under Les Miles in 2016 as a WR coach. Once Les and then OC Cam Cameron were fired after 4 games into the 2016 season, Craig had this grandiose idea that he was going to be appointed as the interim OC. Coach Orgeron selected Steve Ensminger which really PO'd Craig. Craig's negative attitude towards LSU and Coach O was confirmed by several recruits who reported that Craig was encouraging them to sign elsewhere.

Craig had never been an OC anywhere in his life, yet he truly believed that he was the "next man up" once Cameron was fired. His way of getting back at Coach O and LSU was acting like a complete dooshbag
