If you really wanted to buy a General Aviation aircraft ( less than $500,000) to fly 6 people, what would you look at? and Why?

It's not the cost of the aircraft that is expensive. It's the cost of keeping it flying. Geauxx can tell you how much it costs us to keep our TU206's in the air every year.

Just annuals on it are over $25,000. Total overhauls, reman engines once the Total hours are up are over $75,000. That's on a $150,000 aircraft.

lol yep. a purchase is a promise to spend that same amount every 3-5 years, forever.

If you are paying 25,000.00 a year every year for an annual you are getting ripped off. The shop rate where I work is 100.00 per hour and we work on mostly turbine helicopters but do maintain a couple of amphibian Cessna's. I know getting parts from textron (Cessna owner) is insane but I'd like to see a copy of your last invoice because you are getting hosed.
