Is this because people aren't getting the vaccine or because the vaccine is ineffective?

I’ve heard the strain is different than what’s in the vaccine
Ascension schools plan on disinfecting everything next week when kids are out
I’d think it’s worst in elementary & middle schools, no source just what I’m hearing from friends

This. I got the enhanced vaccine for senior citizens on Oct. 29th, and by Nov. 1 came down with a case of the fluvirus.
