Disgusting. This guy's 3 days in command of a platoon were one instance after another of ordering murder, and after the murders he ordered, he lied and covered up to his commanders about what he had done.
Luckily, most of the low-ranking privates he ordered to commit murder had more moral core than he did. They mostly refused his orders or "missed" the shots he told them to take at unarmed people, or the bloodshed would have been worse.
Unfortunately, one soldier did obey his order, and two unarmed men riding a motorcycle were machine-gunned to death. They had not presented a threat to anyone and were just minding their own business. Lorance threatened to murder villagers who complained about what he had done. Then he lied to his superiors about what he had done. The soldiers in his own platoon were the witnesses against him. Not one of them took the stand to support him, for the simple reason that there was nothing right about anything he did.
He should still be in prison. This pardon is a disgrace.

When you were there- did you kill people who were not threatening anyone and just driving down the road on a motorcycle, and then lie about it?
I'm 100% sure you did not.

You know who wouldn't have your bad attitude? The honorable John Bel Edwards. He's 10x the soldier you'll ever be.

Reports at the time stated that ANA fired on them first and Lorance reacted to that. There was also evidence that these "innocent civilians" were making and planting bombs.

I'm pretty sure he was/is, but he's never done anything.

Allegedly an Apache pilot. Aren't they usually WO's?

They were insurgents. Biometrics identified them. Also rarely are MAMs in that region “innocent.”

Can be. Can be commissioned as well, I think.

shows how little you understand Army Aviation
Perhaps JBE needs to give you a lesson on the proper way for an Army officer to act and respect those around them.

Wrong, they are WO but to be command track you have to commissioned, most are WOs but certainly not exclusively
Posted on 11/16/19 at 5:39 pm to upgrayedd
Unlike that one trick trump pony Rispone JBE is qualified to do so,

Please enlighten me on Army Aviation and state your credentials to do so. Also expand on your comment regarding “command track.”

That you, JBE? Shouldn't you be taking care of more important things right now?
