These people are complete idiots unless they went there. Than maybe I would understand. When I was a kid (a long time ago), we were Tulane fans. Not because we had any affiliation other than living in New Orleans, but because my dad couldn't afford to take his two sons to Baton Rouge for LSU games. Tulane was cheaper and he could afford to do that. I didn't hate LSU, just was indifferent. I moved to Alabama 12 years ago and after being around the Bama morons I instantly became the biggest LSU fan around! Outside some direct affiliation, you have to stay loyal to where you're from.

In some ways I'm glad LSU and Tulane don't play each other anymore, so I can pull for both. In other ways it's sad the current system really doesn't allow for that game to take place. It sure would would be a fun weekend to Louisiana natives.

Sold my house last year to a bama fan. Talked to my old neighbors a few weeks ago. Come to find out the dude is from SLIDELL and does nothing but talk shite about LSU. I just don’t get it.

Reached out to my old neighbor Sunday and he said ole boy was in his backyard by himself Saturday evening. Finally came over and said if there were 5 more minutes bama would have whipped that arse.

1 - you had not stopped LSU all night

2 - in their delusional minds coming back from a 20 point deficit, even had they had 5 for minutes and would have pulled out the win, that would have been an arse whipping.

Rewatching the game we really blew more opportunities than they claim they did. Wish we would have beat the shite out of them.

eta: I work with a guy in his 50’s. Born and raised in New Orleans. His favorite teams are Norte Dame and Dem Boys. I call him punk arse with no heart all the time. I ask, what’s wrong, couldn’t support your homeboys when times were rough? Now look at you.

Alexandria is full of them. They all have big A on their jacked up truck with an exhaust that makes a shite ton of noise. I have a feeling they are overcompensating.

It's the lazy way to be a fan. Just disregard all sense of community and pick a team that wins a lot.

These are the worst fricking fans. Most of those douchebags were wearing Miami or Florida State gear in the 90s. They’ll claim to be Bama fans now and they ride the next dynasty’s dick.

And they'd even have the occasional Auburn shirt on every few years

Me too...lived in Montgomery for three years. Right in the middle of Auburn and Tuscaloosa is when I became a bigger LSU fan. And I'm originally from the Baton Rouge area. Now I see all these people I went to high school with claiming to be big die hard Bama fans. I know they didn't pull for Bama until they started winning.

i know a guy who is a bandwagon bama fan. he fits the whole inbred ignorant redneck stereotype to the T. he was a USC fan back when they were good and he swapped to bama and denies ever being a USC fan. He is a loser who has been through a few divorces so I guess he needs something winning in his life.
