Muschamp was going to get another year regardless, plus his buyout is really high. I think he’s gone next year if there’s no improvement.

He is not going to come out and say that he is going to fire CWM, but I will say this, General Caslen doesn't put up with being mediocre and I wouldn't be surprised if he cleaned house sooner rather than later. Especially if we get blown out by Clemson again.

I hope A&M and Clemson blow us out, and for the Clemson game I hope it's very apparent they are outnumbering us in our own stadium on TV, and then I hope no one goes to games next year. Muschamp is a dead man walking and it's going to destroy recruiting.

The thing to watch for is Tanner steping down or being reassigned when that happens Muschamps days are numbered.

Looks like our BOTS have been preparing to get rid of Tanner and we didn't even know it. Replace Tanner and Muschamp getting shite canned is imminent. Looks like they're making moves to finally make it happen.

I've been highly critical of Ray Tanner for a couple years now, but he doesn't deserve what is happening with BOT members making it public they want another AD. BOT Flying in Brad Edwards & Chris Massaro for games behind his back is not necessary.Tanner deserves better than that

USC wont want to wait till the end of the season. They'll end up w someone worse than Muschamp.

Looks like Tanner is on borrowed time..which means so is Muschamp.

today that certain USC board of trustees members are gauging former #Gamecock Brad Edwards' interest in replacing Ray Tanner as athletics director at USC.

Do you think it would be this season or next for Muschamp?

Depends on how fast they get Brad Edwards in there. He's a former Gamecock DB who played in the NFL and has served as AD at smaller colleges. Ray had no experience at all as an AD. I imagine Muschamp would get next year, give Brad time to get his ducks in a row and then he'd bring in his own coach. This is a summary of Brad's resume:

We can get better than Edwards
And if it’s between Massaro and Edwards. I’d rather Massaro

So fire AD soon, Muschamp one more year to see improvement or new AD hire new coach. Would be best IMO. Dont fire Muschamp now and have a Chad moment.

I don't know anything about Massaro's experience.

ETA: I see he's been AD at Middle Tennessee for 15 yrs. Why are you so high on this guy?

There’s much bigger things right now with our athletic dept and that is Tanner. They won’t fire him he’ll take another role somewhere else with the school (unfortunately).
Once the new AD is named he can look at the coaching situation

This is Carolina. You know they're gonna go with the hometown boy in a former Gamecock.

Ya and unfortunately I have a gut feeling another bad hiring.
Hope I’m wrong, but I’ve been right with Tanner and Muschamp

Someone mentioned on our board how the BoTs seem to be side stepping Caslen. Got a feeling we're in for quite the show on this one bc I don't see Caslen just sitting idly by and allowing them to do whatever the hell they want without a fight.

Read below, Boom needs a miracle in these next 3 games! Those comments below basically say “we aren’t firing anyone UNTIL the end of the season”

quote:

On Wednesday, USC president Robert Caslen pointedly declined to commit to Muschamp beyond 2019, telling The Greenville News, “Coach Muschamp is my coach. That’s the message. He will be my coach through the end of the season.”
