Worst Saints Loss in CSP/ Brees area

I really can’t remember a worse performance ever in Payton Bees era. We were top ranked team in NFC by most analysts playing one of worst teams in the NFL at home, after the bye week against the hated Falcons, and went out and totally got our arse kicked. I really don’t ever remember anything like this before.

Loss to the 0-8 or so Rams.
13-1 losing to the 1-12 Bucs.
13-1 losing to the 1-12 Bucs.

Dude we do shite like this twice a year

In terms of offensive performance, probably so. There was a couple of games against the Texans and Colts back in 2014/2015 iirc that we may have only scored 10 points in each of the games.

We lost to max hall the year after we won the superbowl

Still going with both those rams games. 2011 it was 24-0 then 31-14 with 7 of ours coming from a defensive TD. Offense was net zero at that point with a pick 6.
Cleveland might be a honorable mention too.

@ Texans was way worse than this one

Max Hall didn't do anything. Offense turned the ball over 4 times. Brees was dogshit that game.

I could go on and on, but there’s quite a list of low rent QBs who have had career games against the Saints in the Payton ‘area’
RG3 and Fitzmagic were the first to come to mind.

Saints have had many
Denver 2012 and Indy 07 stick out to me. Browns in the dome 2010.

This is worse. They bullied us Sunday. That was just pure Fitzmagic.

No it isn't. It just feels that way because the team has been playing so well, and the last thing anyone expected was a lifeless performance, especially when you're getting back some key guys.
We lost to a winless Rams team in 2011 that hurt playoff seeding, and in 2013 another dud performance vs the Rams cost us the division.
We also had several of these lifeless, uninspiring performances in the three straight 7-9 years.
Sunday sucked. Hoping it's just our one dud game for the year, and we regroup and come out and dominate Tampa.

True but that was the 1st Game of the Season & Saints scored 40+ as well.
26-9, WTF? ATL had 7 sacks in 8 fukn games & they get 6 on the Saints. Unbelievable really

I think people are writing this off, but we were at risk of losing the #1 seed because of this.

I agree that those Rams loses were unexplainable, sucked and cost us big time but they were on the road.
Plus we had a damn chance to have one of the greatest weekends ever

Wasn't one of those Rams losses right after the 62-7 Colts game?

Going by worst feeling after a loss (IMO) is 2011 vs San Francisco. We had that won twice, KNEW full well they were going to Vernon Davis, and still could not stop it. Even with the past couple years of crushing playoff losses, that one still stuck with me longest. Drew would have had his second ring in 3 years, and if I remember right, 2011 was actually a better year for him statistically than 2009.
