from the playoffs. Both Oregon and Utah will probably win out and both be 11-1. They will play for the title. One will finish 12-1 and both are in top ten. Either way, it will be a top ten win for either and that is much more than Bama.
Conference champ vs no for Bama! Top ten win vs no for Bama.
There would be a revolt, especially from west coast press, if the committee dissed either team as 12-1

Especially Oregon because if they do, why would any PAC 12 team schedule a legit OOC opponent ever again?

Yep, but it would be after the fact.

And used as an excuse to expand to 6 so the inbreeds can always get a mulligan.

Sec will not have 2 teams in the playoffs unless LSU loses to Georgia.

Would that be your argument had LSU lost Saturday?

Playoff committee stated in their original mission statement that they would give an edge to Conference champions over other teams...but they bailed on that from the get go.

It's still the bullshite, subjective eye-test instead of something tangible...winning on the field.

Bama will play a two-game schedule, lose 1 of those games, miss the SEC Championship game and get into the playoffs as the #4 team.

It's so absurd, and turning people away from the mockery that has become this sport. They said they wanted a playoff but it's still just votes.

A REAL playoff takes the Champions from each Conference. That's a simple take ESPN bias and human votes and eye-tests out of it...win your Conference and you're in.

You don't. A 1-loss Pac12 or Big12 champion will get in over any nonconference winner.

No, there is really no West Coast Press apart from the Laker's coverage.

The revolt would be from LSU fans because they have to play Bama again and would go in all confident and it would be 11/11 all over again.

Mediocre teams beating other mediocre teams. It's not complicated.

If one of Oregon and Utah finish 12-1 and Pac-12 champs, they are in, no matter what Alabama does.

Ever since Bama scored that late TD to make it a 5-point game, I have been telling my friends that the powers-that-be better think this one through REAL carefully before they let Bama slide into the playoffs (yet again).

I honestly do think it would anger many people into essentially boycotting college football. I mean, frick, what's the point when the deck is clearly stacked in favor of some teams over others?

Bama isn’t getting in over a 1 loss conf champ this year. Unless I’m mistaken the AD’s of both Oregon and Oklahoma are on the committee this year. They’re gonna go hard for their teams if they have one loss.

Auburn is a common opponent (in the Oregon beating Utah scenario.)
