They beat 2004 VT in DC. They won the ACC and almost beat Auburn in the Sugar Bowl. Cal in 2004 was also a big game (Aaron Rodgers team that was undefeated and ranked in top 10 when they played). 2003 Auburn was a top 10 team when USC shut them out in JHS to open the season. They routinely sodomized Big Ten teams in the Rose Bowl back when it still meant something. 2005 UCLA was 10-1 and ranked in the top 10 when USC beat them 66-19.

Usc also demolished Arkansas in back to back years. I believe the year usc hung 50 on them in Arkansas, the razorbacks won the sec west. That was also one of Carroll’s worst teams.
