It was 2/3 human element.

Only towards the end

BCS used to me majority computers. Then people freaked the frick out when Nebraska made the title game without winning their conference, so they added more human element

You mean OU right? I mean, they played us...am I missing something?

It always had a human element. They increased the weight of it after USC was left out of the natty that year.

no, the BCS was two-thirds silly polls. One-third was computers.

By the way, everyone thinks computers are some artifically intelligent entity that knows all.

THe computers are programmed by humans, and those humans decide what variables are important and which ones aren't.
Humans decide the weighting of those variables. And humans tweak the formula every year. Sometimes margin of victory is important, over years it's not .

The computers aren't the answer.
