Fat Harry’s is walkable for us so thinking about doing that.

Not the best way to avoid college kids lol

Wrong Iron is definitely a more adult oriented watch place. There’s a big outside space to relax but the issue is the bar area is the only area with TVs. It’s big but there will be a lot of people. There’s going to be a lot of people anywhere you go though.

For this game, you will have about the same mix of people either place I would imagine. Just depends if you want an old bar-ey type setting or a big racous open air deal.

Yea for sure. If you have older people a restaurant with TVs might be easier

You can reserve tables at wrong iron ahead of time through their website. That’s the only way to go if you’re going there for a game

Think they’re mostly booked by now. Also not a very cheap option at around $150/table (though worth it IMO, if your set on watching the game there).

They are not fully booked

$150 for a table that sits up to 18 people is cheap. Even if you only have 10 people

Patio table is $75 for 8 people

Porch table is $100 for 6 people

There are TVs everywhere. It’s a good deal if you’re not looking to stand around

Fat Harry's is close enough to retire to the apartment at half if necessary. They don't mind a crowd but I'm sure would like to sit.

Any recs on restaurants with TVs in that area that doesn't discourage people taking over a table for 4 hours?

Superior next door is always a decent choice. TV’s at the bar. If the weather is nice, could go to Dat Dog on Freret and sit outside.

Guess it depends on if you want to walk or don’t mind a short Uber.

Check out Wrong Iron -

Prepare for it to be swamped and have insane lines at the bar. Great concept in a great location, but they need more bartenders and a second bar outside.

Tchoup yard and Bayou Beer/Wine Garden are better alternatives.

The beer is so meh, but Port Orleans has an awesome setup too. I mean, it's not undrinkable and the food's not bad, so I'd put it as an option, if you're walking distance to Fat Harry's (it might more of a trek to walk here, but a minimal Uber ride).

Bayou beer and wine garden are bigger than WI is for big games

Wrong iron adds extra TV, mobile bathrooms and bartenders for the big games fwiw

Superior next door
Wanted to thank everyone for the recs.

Ended up at Fat Harry’s too late for inside seating. Outside had smokers. Looked like a great spot if it was just the wife and I. We moved over to Superior and had a bar table. 2 for 1 frozen drinks and $0.50 oysters started about half way through second qtr so that was a plus.
