If someone is suffering from mental illness just like Hep C or syphilis, you can't broadcast it to the world.

If his mom is sick that's a personal choice whether or not to say it. Disciplinary is up to the school (and its policy).

Illness, even mental health illness, has legal protections.

He is a 22-year-old college amateur, and he doesn't owe anyone "transparency."
