Anyone in attendance? Anyone remember who the speaker was and about his story of always signing his employees checks in green pen? He event went so far as to give all the graduates that day a green pen with an explanation. Mine is boxed up in storage so no chance of getting to it but trying to regurgitate some of the info/story if anyone knows it...
THanks!

Was it the guy from Donaldsonville who used to work for EJ Ourso?

Nope, by the time I was graduating highschool I was already finding more success in the world that I was in and having more fun/partying/hooking up more in different states than I would have at a college.
That was in a time where it would have been still cool to be on mediums like mtv. Being 17 is strange enough, but adding in all these other factors that come into play with ego, money, betrayals, health, legalities, death and not to mention the way the music industry was changing..it changed almost overnight with the rise of Napster, social media, mp3 and the way entertainment operated.
If you are young, talented, good looking and have any originality you will be used by someone who wants to live vicariously through you. It's even worse when it's a parent as I saw starting to happen with my friends, who are dead now.

What a strange response to the OP.

2005 was still the era of "Go to college, major in what you want, and follow your dreams."

You drank a strong coffee from a bag somebody was hiding something else strong.

Either way is fine. Depending on pronunciations. If you don’t pronounce the possessive s you do it your way. If you do, you do it mine.
You can look it up. I am sure it is on the google.
But again, what in tge hell are you talking about?

I haven't had coffee in a month, tried to eliminate it all. Was woken up early this morning by lake winds damaging powerlines. Needed a glass, bought some and it's doing its job.

Is it this guy? Sir John Scarlett: LINK

Sorry I guess I just assumed people knew I meant LSU graduation. Apparently it was E.J. Ourso himself that gave out the green pens and signed his checks in green so his employees would know one day they could make the big money and sign someone else’s checks (or something like that)
