Seems like murder. I don't know why we've allowed cops to become judge, jury and executioner. We have a legal system that exists and should be used.

This is what I keep trying to tell my short-sighted “back the blue” acquaintances: sure they’re more likely to murder black people but if you don’t care about that (which you obviously should), know that they absolutely kill whites too.

We were all 16 once and the kid was scared so he ran, the cop should be tried and sent to jail. I am a former marine and this is excessive force. The kid wasn't fast and the cop should have ran him down and tackled him. Not like it was a dark alley and the kid jumps out at you, surely if he was armed he wouldn't have ran he would've turned and engaged you with the weapon. Sad...

I'm not losing tears over this kid, but that was pretty absurd.
Cop shot him, from a covered position, in the back of the head as he was running away.
Now, if they knew he had a weapon and he was headed for the door to go into the daycare, that is a different story. But I'd like to see the other body cams.

If he had committed a felony and fled where innocent people could be hurt after identifying as police he can shoot to stop. Just because the shot killed the kid doesn’t mean it’s murder.

Cop saw him go for a weapon when he was trying to pull up saggy pants.
He ran, he was feared to be armed. From the daycare? Camera we can see it wasn't a gun. But the cop saw reaching and grabbing motion on a presumed armed fleeing subject. Good shoot. It sucks for the cop. But all the kid had to do was not run like a fool.
