Teddy is a known commodity and winning quarterback in this league. I'd hate to lose him. What if he walks in free agency and we get nothing in return? He's 5–0. He has current value. It's worth seeing what we can get for him.

A winning franchise and coach in Belichick would absolutely get something out of him with no remorse. It's a business and we're in the business of winning. Trade him to a desperate team for a QB and let's take away a WR and picks.

What if we trade him then Brees retires in the offseason?

Oops?

This is what I've been trying to say. We are losing Teddy after this year, mine as well sell high

You'll get a 3rd round comp pick

No one is trading anything of value for a QB halfway through the season that's expiring

And especially a QB, they're not like a WR or CB you can plug in.

I agree. Sell what your stock is high.

But a lot of dildos on here will disagree.

Only way I'd do it is to Dolphins for their first pick, but they obviously aren't gonna do that. Brees isn't going to be 100% for another 6-8 weeks even though he'll be back before then. I'm to the point I keep playing TB until we lose a game, unless we are getting to maybe week 11 or 12 and then start Brees to get him back "in the feel" of the game.

these two words together should mean you do the absolute opposite of whatever he is advocating for.

The only person who can beat cowherd on the amount of times he has been wrong is Steven A

So top 3 pick is the only thing you’d trade him for?

Again, if the phone rang, I'd listen.

Though, if Drew goes down again, I'd feel a lot better with Teddy(Who's seen live bullets) getting the snaps than Taysom.

And which team(s) would that be, exactly?

And teams desperate for QBs are better off tanking for the upcoming QB class than trade a pick(s) for guy that will likely walk in 6 months. Those pick(s) could also be used to surround said QBs with cheap talent.

CHI might but you're not getting Allen Robinson and they're not trading a high round pick for Teddy.

People need to put this teddy being traded thing to bed

Let's start with the team we just demolished in Chicago.

Bengals
Titans

Totally agree. It makes no sense. He is more valuable to us than he would be for any other team in the league even when Drew comes back. Nobody is giving up anything that would help the Saints win the 2020 Super Bowl for Teddy Bridgewater.

Chicago might be the ONLY option.

Why would the Bengals or Titans trade for him this year when they already have lost seasons and they can sign him in the offseason without giving up any assets? Makes zero sense.

I agree. Package Teddy with the 1 for a top 5 and draft a QB to take the reigns.

Dolphins don't make sense. They're not trying to win now, so they don't need a better QB now. They're going to draft in the top 2 and grab their QB there. What you need is a team that just lost their starter and needs someone to keep the team in the hunt till the starter come back... Hey! Like the Saints!

But this is all moot because we are five days away from the deadline and no one is sure if Brees is ready to come back. And even if he is, you want Teddy on the sidelines as a proven commodity in case Brees has a setback.

A late 20s pick and an expiring teddy for a top 5 pick

Keep him. This team is Super Bowl caliber even with TB taking the snaps. Brees is coming back from an injury and we have no idea how he'll play with a splint or the likelihood of reinjury. The Saints paid a 3rd rounder and 7+ million for this situation. Don't drop your insurance policy now, just when you need it the most.
