Holy shite! I had no idea they were both beating Jeudy so badly.

Does their yardage include from LOS or only from POC?

Maybe it’s a typo?

Jeudy on that list is completely contrived bullshite. Great player but the numbers ain't there to even be in the discussion.

Because Jefferson and Chase don't play for Alabama. They hyped Jeudy up so much that they don't want to let go of it. The heisman is a popularity contest and the only reason Joe is in contention for it is because they can't deny what he's done this year. They can ignore players like Jefferson and Chase all day though because no one looks at those stats on a regular basis. The large majority of people in the country only look at the stats for the players that ESPN says is in contention for the heisman trophy and they know it. If you asked 1000 people that aren't LSU fans who has more catches, touchdowns, and yards Jeudy or Jefferson I bet 95% of them would say Jeudy just because he's hyped constantly by national sports media. Even though Jefferson has 3 more catches, 200 more yards and 3 more touchdowns. It's all about what people hear and no one hears much about Jefferson because he isn't supposed to be doing better than Jeudy.

ETA: Jeudy doesn't even have the best receiving stats on his own team. Smith is better if we're going off stats.

That is ridiculous. Only reason I can think is that Jeudy is only on there because he started the season on there and our guys did not...

When you look at the stats, it’s overwhelmingly in Burrow’s favor

With qb’s over 200 attempts, he leads nation in-
Comp percentage 79.4%
Td:29
Avg per: 11.4
Yardage 2484
Qbr: 216

Hurts is doing well but he only has 154 attempts
Tua only has 194 which is actually respectable.

Burrow is doing well compared to the others this year but historically too! It is absolutely incredible what is happening in the purple and gold this year.

Through 7 games Fournette was the leader in ‘15. How did that turn out?
It’s good branding and creating “buzz” but means little at this point. There’s 5 or 6 more games before the voting. The table is set but the winner will be determined in the next 6 weeks. I think Tua’s performance vs UGa in the SECCG helped Murray win the trophy last year.

I would very much like to hear anything close to resembling a legitimate answer to this question, as well. It confounds me how Juedy keeps popping up on mid season lists for all sorts of publications, and Heisman lists, and yet we don't see our two guys who have CLEARLY been better.

It's absurd.

Not really true:

ESPN had Devonta Smith, Lamb, and Jefferson as their mid-season all-americans.

CBS had Smith and Chase.

AP had Lamb and Smith.

Sporting News had Lamb and Smith.

USA Today is the only one I see with Judge Jeudy but their list is all over the place. They have Tua as the QB and Clemson WR Tee Higgins whose stat line is 25-552-3. Basically he's caught a lot of bombs but doesn't look like an AA to me. The Syracuse and UNC games account for 52% of his catches, 49% of yards, and 33% of TDs. Outside those games he really hasn't done much this season.

If Burrow and LSU beat Alabama, then he will inevitably win.

Of course you're right, but as a practical matter do you really want votes taken away from Burrow to go to Jefferson or Chase?

I just opened a new casino, and you are welcome to play blackjack at 3/2 or 7/4 as you understand it for as much as you’d like to bet

While this is largely true, it is something nice to point to when potential QB recruits are strolling through campus.
