He's done everything the coaches have asked. For those of you who say....."he holds onto the ball too long" well you are right, sometimes he does. So what? The dude is a winner and for him to be 5-0 as a starter this year is unheard of. Props to this dude. He's a winner and he is proving it.

Kid hasn't played much meaningful football in a few years. He's still knocking the rust off. I'm glad he's a Saint.

He's saving what might be our last shot at a SB with Brees. He's been a GOD.

I like Teddy.
I just don’t think he is good.
He played well today.

He missed 2-3 throws, but he was solid today and has won every game he’s started. Happy to see it.

Most Saints fans are comparing him to probably the greatest NFL QB of all time. Teddy is not quite up to Drew's high standard, but what QB is?

And he’s doing it with one consistent pass catcher.

Its not about liking or disliking. Its about is he the future or not.

I love Teddy but I know he’s not the future of this franchise AFTER Drew

We probably aren't going to find another Brees anytime soon. You can win a Super Bowl without having a hof qb though. Brad Johnson, Joe Flacco and Trent Dilfer have rings.

I love watches these arm chair coaches in the chat sometimes.

"Stop putting in taysom! He's sucks! Everyone nkow what he is doing!"

Taysom score a TD shortly later.

"Bridge water suck! He is not our solution."

Put up fricking points against the Number 1 defense in the nation.

That is a huge win.

Only thing now is I think Chicago might have inadvertently expose a weak area in our ST play. With how poorly they did, I won't be surprise if some teams try it against us down the road in meaningful play.

Exactly. You have to have a talented team for sure. I think it's safe to say that the Saints and Patriots qb play is going to take a step down when Brees and Brady retire.

The Saints have a legit young core. We are poised to be good for several more years.

I don't necessarily disagree.

But in the hypothetical that Brees retires this season, where are the better options?

We must finally acknowledge the fact it is the system and the coach that really make the qb not unlike Bill and Tom. Anywhere else and Dre’s would be middle of the pack.

I don’t know if he’s the franchise future or not but he’s proving to be as serviceable as most QBs in the league. There aren’t that many good QBs out there.

Bridgewater is a backup for a reason. That injury understandably softened him up. Props to him for getting the Saints through the Brees injury & rehab.

When the schedule came out we would have taken 2-2 after four games. TB had us at 3-1.

When Drew got hurt we were hoping we could get out of the first half at 4-4 or better. We're 6-1 w8th a very winnable game still to play.

He beat the Seahawks at Seattle, in September. Nobody does that.

He hung 36 on one of the best defenses in the league without his starting RB or his starting TE.

And he signed to be the heir apparent to a first ballot Hall of Famer. Replacing a legend takes balls to the floor.
