I was recently given an old mudboat from an old friend that is well built and in great shape. The issue is and what I need help/info on is the boat and trailer don't have numbers or any paperwork. How do I go about getting boat and trailer registered so they are both legal?

File as home built.....trailer should have some type nbr (if not home built) BTW..Chackbay and your are asking this question? Go to back Vacherie and ask for the fixer.

Al or Wood? Size motor, v6 or v8?
Pretty easy to find out who made it if your guy is first owner or post pic. Actual mud boat are pretty area specific and tend to favor one builders skillz. Those boats are real work horses that are extremely thirsty; 1-2 mpg.
Do you have any registration paperwork? If not, good luck.

If it’s filed as home built, you will need a receipt of materials to get a title issued so you can then get a registration. I think filing for a replacement registration through DMV for trailer and LADWF for the boat is your only option.
